How to retain the quality of image in Picsart | Android

For editing images, I commonly use the #Picsart #Android App. Even, some of the Images in this blog are edited using Picsart App. But, Whenever, you try to save the image in Picsart, the image quality gets reduced. So how could you retain the image quality in Picsart ?

Here is the solution for this problem!

To do so, you must have Picsart installed in your Android Device.
If your device supports Google Play Store, download the latest version from the Google Play Store, but if your device does not support Google Play Store ( eg. Nokia X ), then go to Google and Search for the apk file of the latest version for Picsart, as there are many websites available for this.

4) Apply all the effects correctly and click on the Download icon or Save icon ( DOWNWARD ARROW AT THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER ), to save your image.

5) Now, a dialog box will appear, showing the name of the image and a drop-down menu, showing two options JPEG and PNG.

6) Click on the drop-down menu and select PNG file format or extension. Do not save as JPEG. After saving the image as PNG, your image quality will be great. See the result in the image below after saving in two file extensions, JPEG and PNG.

NOTE : This is a compressed Image

Why PNG ?

PNG ( Portable Network Graphics ) is a great extension for saving Images, and also offers transparency. While using PicsArt, it is observed that images or pictures saved with PNG extension are more clear, larger and heavier than the images saved with JPEG extension. You can notice this Individually by saving the same Image in both the extensions.
PNG file format also offers transparency, which is a great and the most useful thing for many Photo Editors.

You can see in this Image that the pixels are more clear and smooth in PNG format, and less clear in JPEG format. Thus you can notice this.

Animated image in Picsart

The updated version of Picsart, has an option to save the image as an animated GIF Image. When you do some changes, you can save each and every step as an Animation in the GIF file format.

  • To save an Image as an Animation, repeat the steps given above for saving.
  • But don't save using the download icon, you can save using the GIF icon, which is present on the right side of the Download icon.
  • You can select the frames for the animation, and also the speed for the animation.
Update: Picsart has currently disabled the PNG or JPEG option.
