How Truecaller gets your ID


When a user installs Truecaller, He has to accept some Terms before installing Truecaller. So, when you install Truecaller, your and your contact's information gets linked with the Truecaller service. You do this so, because, you accept the terms and conditions of Truecaller before installing Truecaller.

How to remove your ID from Truecaller

To remove your ID completely,

1) First you will need to deactivate your account. So to deactivate your account, open truecaller in your Android phone.

2) Now, select the icon on the top-left side of the screen and go to settings. This will open the settings.

3) Now, in the settings, you will find an about button in the last. Tap on this.

4) Now, Scroll down till the end of the page and tap on Deactivate account. This will open an dialog box for confirmation.

5) Click yes on that dialog box, and your account will be deactivated.

Your account is not till completely removed. Now you will need to unlist your id from truecaller.

2) Now enter your mobile number in this form. Verify that you're not a robot.

3) Click on Unlist button at the last. Thus your number will be completely unlisted.

In this way, you have completely removed your number from truecaller. This process needs some time. You have to wait at least 24 hours to see the changes completely.

Thus your privacy is protected and no-one can see or search your number on truecaller.
